PRESS DEMOCRAT - The Sonoma County lovefest on food-related reality TV continues as another local chef is featured on the Food Network this week.

Chef Chris Ricketts from The Lazeaway Club at Santa Rosa’s Flamingo Resort competes on Tuesday’s special drag brunch-themed episode of “Chopped,” airing locally at 5 p.m.

“I am kind of stoked that I got to do the drag brunch episode,” said Ricketts. “I’m glad that’s something they’re promoting and I got to be a part of it.”

The special Pride-filled competition pits Ricketts against three other chefs and restaurateurs from Seattle, Nashville, and Louisville, Kentucky, whose restaurants host drag brunches, a phenomenon that has taken off in recent years.
